Dear Network Member,
If you are told by SAPS, or are made aware of someone who has been told by SAPS, that for any reason a licence application, whether it be a renewal or new application, will be cancelled due to any form of non-compliance with SAPS requirements, please contact the SAGA office immediately with full details as to:
- person
- province
- station

It is SAGA's view that SAPS do not have the authority to cancel an
application after taking reasonable steps to obtain such information they feel is required.
The correct procedure should be for SAPS to refuse the application and
thus afford the applicant the right of appeal against such decision.
